Sovereign Health provides a suite of levels of care appropriate to the intensity and frequency of medical and psychological attention needed.
Patients may phase down through treatment as they improve in wellness and soundness of mind. All levels comprise trauma informed care and are customized to meet each patient where they are, and grow upward from there.
Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
Sovereign Health Rancho San Diego’s partial hospitalization substance abuse and mental disorder program is medically supervised and gives full spectrum, therapeutically intensive, coordinated, clinical services.
PHP is appropriate for young people who have intense addicion symptoms, disturbances in behavior or other exacerbating issues such as suicide ideation. The undivided attention to a PHP patient has dual purpose. It provides for that person and protects residential patients from any immediate risk.
Sovereign Health of Rancho San Diego’s PHP offers intermediate treatment in place of exclusive hospitalization.
Intensive Residential Treatment (RTC)
Sovereign Health’s RTC is the most advantageous type of treatment. It offers personalization for each patient’s treatment needs. We have round the clock nonhospital-based interdisciplinary services in our summer-camp like cabins.
Individual therapy and group therapy are provided several times a week, employing cognitive modalities and skill-building process groups. Once a week intensive family therapy also embeds recovery and all around wellness.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our adolescent Rancho San Diego IOP is a series of scheduled out individual and group sessions individualized to each patient’s school and family schedule.
As an outpatient level of care, our young patients can receive the treatment they need while maintaining academic, family and extracurricular obligations. The program is a downgrade from RTC, as the young man or lady incorporates healthy coping skills, moves past prior trauma and stressors and maintains sobriety.
