Sovereign Health of Rancho San Diego offers adolescents ages 12 to 17 with multiple levels of care, including Residential Treatment Center (RTC), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Residential Treatment
Residential treatment, also known as inpatient treatment, involves full-time accommodations in one of our residences. Our residential treatment level of care provides evidence-based, intensive treatment for people with addiction, mental illness or co-occurring disorders. Patients have access to specialized services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, along with comfortable living arrangements. All patients receive personalized, evidence-based care that can include medication management, therapy and cognitive remediation training. Sovereign’s calm, relaxing environment can provide a welcome reprieve to the stresses associated with daily life.
Sovereign’s residential treatment level of care is geared toward individuals with severe addiction and mental health issues who may or may not pose a risk to themselves. Residential treatment is our most intensive program, followed by partial hospitalization and outpatient treatment.
Partial Hospitalization Program
In Sovereign’s partial hospitalization level of care, we provide comprehensive, medically supervised treatment for individuals who live with substance addiction, mental illness or co-occurring disorders. Patients receive structured, time-limited therapeutic sessions with varying intensities, depending on the severity of their symptoms. Individuals can receive diagnostic evaluation, active treatment or maintenance therapy to reduce the risk of relapse, hospitalization or incarceration.
This level of care is designed for people who are experiencing increased symptomatology but are not actively a risk to themselves. Partial hospitalization is less intensive than residential (or inpatient) treatment, but more intensive than intensive outpatient treatment. Partial hospitalization can severe as an alternative to inpatient treatment or as a step between inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment.
