It can be scary for parents to see their child drinking or taking drugs. Taking initiative to recognize adolescent substance abuse and getting treatment for your child are some of the ways to handle the concerns you may have about your child’s substance abuse problem and related behavior.
Sovereign Health offers customized, evidence-based care to adolescents at its Rancho San Diego facility. Dedicated to helping youth overcome problems related to the misuse of alcohol and drugs, our Addiction Treatment Program uses effective and modern treatment methods to help patients get the best chance possible at a recovery that lasts. Our adolescent facility also treats young people suffering from mental illnesses or substance abuse with any co-occurring disorders like depression or anxiety.
Who we treat
Sovereign Health’s Rancho San Diego facility offers substance abuse treatment to youth aged 12 to 17. Licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services and The Joint Commission, our Rancho San Diego facility provides highly specialized behavioral health treatment programs for males and females who have substance use disorders and co-occurring mental disorders, also referred to as dual diagnosis.
While undergoing evidence-based treatment at our state-of-the-art treatment facilities, students spend the majority of their time receiving education and learning skills and other techniques through our accredited EDGE program. During their stay, adolescents are provided three meals each day prepared by our on-site nutritional chef. As part of their recreational activities, patients can go swimming in warm weather, go to the gym, or get active in our baseball field, basketball court, and volleyball court. Patients also have access to nearby hiking trails for further exercise.
