At Sovereign Health of Rancho San Diego, we work with teens and their families to make sure that those who need help receive the care they deserve. We offer different levels of care designed to treat varying levels of illness severity. All of our programs are age appropriate and developmentally sensitive, designed specifically for teens ages 12 to 17.
Levels of Care
- Residential Treatment Center (RTC): Generally, in 30- to 90-day programs patients live in supervised housing and receive around-the-clock treatment and care. This is the most intense level of care and is akin to inpatient hospitalization but with more comfortable accommodations.
- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Patients receive about five hours of treatment Monday through Friday but can live at home or in sober living housing. Patients in the PHP program are medically and psychiatrically stable but require more treatment than an IOP would provide.
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Patients attend treatment sessions for about three hours for three days a week and can live at home or in sober living housing. Most IOP patients have completed at least a 30-day residential treatment program and are transitioning back to life in the community with additional support.
